PSIM's history began on 5 September 1929, by forming of a football organization, called the United Football Sports Mataram (Persatuan Sepakraga Mataram) or abbreviated PSM. The Mataram name used because Yogyakarta is the central government of the Mataram Kingdom.
PSIM Yogyakarta 2015 Home Away Jersey - On July 27, 1930 club changed the name to Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Mataram, PSIM as a support to the nationalist movement of Indonesia independence. Yogyakarta has a small region, but the club supported by militant and fanatical fans, Brajamusti (Brayat Jogja Mataram Utama Sejati).
PSIM Yogyakarta joins Pusamania Borneo FC for signing kit deals wit Salvo. The two tones of blue uniform utilizes PSIM Yogyakarta new home shirt in their match range for the ongoing 2015 seasons. PSIM Yogyakarta 2015 Home Away Jersey - The PSIM Yogyakarta 2015 away kit has a white base with watermark of Yogyakarta city landscape in its body via blue v-neck collar and cuffs. The PSIM crest is on a line with Salvo branding on kits breast. The Jogja Istimewa branding also features on this away kit.
